FAQ
Do we need to start Immerse on a certain date?
You can start Immerse anytime! However, also know that Immerse: The Covenant Bible Reading Experience is part of a much larger Bible reading initiative. On September 17, churches across North America will begin their journey through the Bible using Immerse. By following the shared start dates each spring and fall, your church can read through all 6 volumes—the entire Bible—in just 3 years. And you can do so knowing that thousands throughout North America are doing so with you, within the Evangelical Covenant Church and beyond.
What supplemental resources are available for Immerse?
Click on the “Immerse resources” tab above to find supplemental resources for each Immerse volume including daily audio Bible readings, weekly videos, a family guide, and more.
Are there daily or other regular e-mails available for Immerse?
Automated e-mails are not a component of the Immerse initiative at this time, but you can access weekly videos on our web site.

What happened to Covenant Community Bible Experience?
We’re thrilled to report that more than 400 ECC churches and over 40,000 people read through the whole New Testament together over the past year through Covenant Community Bible Experience. That’s about half of our Covenant churches! And more importantly, many lives were touched and transformed. Many finished and asked, “What’s next?”
The Covenant’s one-year partnership with Biblica for Community Bible Experience was an amazing opportunity. Biblica offered Bibles to the Covenant at a significant discount and supported us in a wide variety of ways during that time, and we continue to be grateful for that. However, Biblica is no longer offering The Books of the Bible for purchase and is currently in the process of making significant changes to the Community Bible Experience program for the future. Since many of our churches were looking for a resource that would be available immediately, we decided to partner with Immerse – and we are very excited to introduce and offer it to our Covenant community.
Can I still find supplemental Community Bible Experience materials?
The Books of the Bible (the CBE Bible) is not currently available for purchase through Biblica, which is why we are glad to be able to offer Immerse.
However, other downloadable resources including links to the daily CBE e-mails are still currently available at our web site, CovChurch.org/CBE.
What four questions are asked during each small group session?
- What stood out to you this week?
- Was there anything confusing or troubling?
- Did anything make you think differently about God?
- How might this change the way we live?
What is the suggested rhythm of reading for Immerse participants?
- 5 days a week
- 20-30 minutes per day
- 8 weeks
- 2 times per year
Who are you partnering with for Immerse?
The Covenant is pleased to partner with Tyndale House Publishers and the newly-formed Institute for Bible Reading to offer Immerse: The Covenant Bible Reading Experience.
How long does it take the books to arrive?
It usually takes 5-8 business days, depending on location (Illinois faster than California). If they are really busy then 8-10 days. This is with free shipping. You can pay to have them shipped faster. Also, large shipments (like 1,000+) may take a bit longer.
